DAY 10 --- A VERY ROUGH SEA DAY
The ship was rocking and rolling all night and I guess it will be all day. There are barf bags in a lot of elevators and in the corridors so I think the motion of the ocean has affected a lot of folks. The doors to the outer decks are closed off to the passengers and we have to walk around with our jackets on. If the seas are this rough we can only imagine what it would have been like if we had continued through the fronts.
Walking around the ship is making me feel like a drunk. Everyone starts off normally and then it starts to rock and the next thing you know you're bouncing off the walls. I might walk a little straighter if I were drunk. This afternoon we watched the first part of Shackelton's Antarctica adventure but I took some very long blinks so missed quite a bit of it.
Changed and went to the cocktail party and the group keeps on growing. Jues and I ordered from off the menu the night before and we had meatballs & spaghetti for dinner. Personally I think they screwed up again and scheduled the Newlywed-Not so Newlywed game for 8:15 so the late diners coudn't attend and the early ones had to rush to get there.
We had already decided not to go to the show as it was the 2 performers we didn't like the first time. We went to the casino until we had to meet Bettina (the asst. manager of Guest Relations) for drinks in the Rendezvous Lounge. She is a very sweet lady and we sat there for over an hour.
Went back to the casino and this time I made a contribution We didn't stay long as we had to get up at 7 AM.
