DAY 8 SEA DAY
Last night we decided not to leave a wake-up call since it was going to be a lazy day. Our phone rang at 8:10 and it was Jules thinking we were already up and ready to go for breakfast. Well that took care of our sleep so off we went to the buffet. Then we went to Michael's Club for our morning cappucino and then Enid went to the solarium to try and find chaises as it was kind of late. Jules and I went to find a hot spot where I could get on the internet to update my blog. I had tried the night before but couldn't get on it at all and my frustration level was getting pretty high. Hopefully that problem has been solved.
Today they were having a special brunch in the dining room so at 12:45 we decided to see what it was like. As we started to walk in that direction we ran into Carolyn, Linda and Dick and they said it was over at 1 PM so we just turned around and went to the buffet. After that we went back to our chairs and I continued the same thing I had done all morning--reading 3-5 pages on my kindle and taking a quick power nap. This is what I repeated all day and I'll probably have the nerve to be tired later.
We had to get ready early as tonight we have a Senior Officer's cocktail party before dinner. Tonight's show is someone who plays between 15-20 different instruments. Doesn't that sound exciting? The shows so far have not been up to par but thankfully it hasn't been a problem because we're still having a great time.
The show tonight was another bad one but this time I managed to stay awake. I'm not sure that was a good thing-I might have been better off if I fell asleep.
I have a correction to Day 5. It was the restaurant manager who was giving us a hard time and the food and beverage manager who corrected the problem.
It is now time to go to sleep as we get to Elephant Island at 7 AM and we are leaving a wake up call for 5:45 AM.
This could be the last day I can send from this computer because my puter is not letting me type certain letters. I might have to finish this when we get home.
