DAY 13---AROUND CAPE HORN

Another fast night's sleep. Up at 6 AM and went to Carolyn's cabin to see Cape Horn and supposedly have really rough seas---NOT. To everyones delight the seas were almost like glass. Carolyn had ordered enough food from room service to feed another 10 people and we didn't stay long as we wanted to get lounges in the solarium befoore it got to crowded. I took my scooter with me today as I have done quite a bit of damage to my body and I'm trying to repair the damage.

The solarium was filling up fast as everyone wanted to see the Horn from there as it was warm. I did my normal solarium thing by reading a few pages on my Kindle and then a nap. I repeated this several times throughout the day.

This afternoon there was a Captains Club event in the Constellation Lounge which we went to but didn't stay long as the food they were serving was not to our liking. Dick, Linda and Carolyn joined us and we all brought our food to a table in the solarium and had lunch together.

Tonight was formal night so we got ourselves spiffied up and went tto our cocktail hour which was entertainment for the evening. There was a man sitting in the club that wasn't Elite but said he was waiting for his friends that went to make a future cruise booking. In the meantime he had 2 apple martinis and a glass of wine in front of him which he drank. Tanushka (captains circle hostess) explained to him that he would have to pay for his drinks. Somehow he convinced the waiters to bring him more and before we knew it, he had 5 apple martinis lined up in front of him. We took turns walking past him and checking his progress. He spilled one, drank 3 more and had 1 left on the table because he fell asleep. When he finally woke up he found his way to the elevators and got in the same one as Jules and Rita. He told them the floor he wanted since he probably couldn't see the buttons.

The show was a production show with all the singers and dancers and it was very energetic. The dancers went all out with their costume changes and their dancing. After that went to the casino and gave back some of their money and then up to the buffet with Carolyn where we sat around for about 45 minutes just shooting the breeze.
