DAY 11---EARY ARRIVAL IN USHUAIA

It was worth getting up early as the views from our balcony were gorgeous seeing green mountains and then the snow covered ones. Dick, Linda, Carolyn,, Jules and Rita met Enid & I for breakfast and as usual ChiAn was there to greet us. He is the best assistant maitre de we have even had. He's also the hardest worker on the ship. And he does cater to our every wish so how bad can that be.

The big 7 of us met at 7:30 for breakfast and then we got off the ship with no specific plans for the day. As we were walking on the pier we passed a magnificent yacht called Octopus and this thing was unbelievable. I could try and describe it, but I wouldn't do it justice. Along the dock there were a bunch of stores and a lot of catamarans so we chose one that seemed interesting and it was a five hour trip. It was $60.00 and well worth the price except for the fact that we chose the top deck which was completely open and we froze our behinds off. We stopped and saw cormorantz (spelling?) birds which look exactly like penguins only they fly, sea lions, more penguins, and they spotted a whale but by the time everyone ran to see them it had disappeared. It was a really good
ride despite the wind.

When we got off we took a short walk around town and it seems like a very nice city but we couldn't buy anything as the prices were ridiculous. Got back and rushed to shower so we could make our cocktail hour and then dinner. They had rack of lamb again so I was a very happy camper. They got a troupe of dancers to perform tonight and it was much better than the crap that we have been subjected to so far.

Now let's get back to the yacht. It had a helicopter on it's deck but going through the strong winds that we had it blew right off the ship into the water. We heard the ship was 250,000,000 so I would think a new helicopter is chump change for him. I don't remember his name but it's Bill Gates' ex partner. We considered running a benefit for him but decided to do one for us instead.

Another 7 AM wake up, so good night for now.
