DAY 3 BUENOS AIRES

Today started earlier than expected due to the radio alarm going off about 6:30. Enid shut it off and back to sleep we went. Ten minutes later it went off again and again. We couldn't turn the darn thing off. Enid pulled the plug out of the wall and it still went off one more time. Two geniuses are we. What a pair.

We walked over to Florida Street (a pedestrian mall) for breakfast and checked out all the leather stores which were plentiful. Of course I had to make a purchase and bought a gorgeous pocketbook if I must say so. On the way back we stopped to get gellato at a store that Enid's doctor recommended and I went inside to sit. Jules, Rita and Enid were standing at the front of the store and an older woman came in and took some things without paying. The shop worker saw this and went running out of the store after her. She ran right past the crew (my good pals) and I was calling Enid to turn around and catch the action but she didn't hear me so they missed it all. Came back to the hotel and took a siesta until we had to go downstairs to meet our tour guide for a 3 hour tour of highlights of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and got back to the hotel about 5:45. We made reservations in one of the restaurants in the hotel for dinner.

Dinner was excellent. We all ordered beef tenderloins and mashed potatoes with bacon. First we got a present from the chef which was pate and a little bit of greens The waitress said the pate was rabbit and Jules wasn't sure what she said so he his hands to make bunny ears and she said yes. You know I wasn't even trying it. Either did Jules but Enid said it was very good and Rita said it was okay. Then after dinner I said I'd like to see the dessert menu but to my disappointment there was nothing that anyone wanted. I find it hard to believe I couldn't find anything since my most favorite part is dessert. We got a great surprise of two small plates with assorted chocolates so I felt much better with after eating some of them. Tomorrow we get on the ship.

  1. Hi Gladys, Enid, Jules and Rita! Just sitting here in cold old London and said to Steve I'm going to check the blog in case it has started....started? I missed 3 whole days! Sounds like the holiday is going to plan - changed gates, mislaid Kindles, power-mad alarm clocks....I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow when you get on the ship, Love Sue xx
